Waiting for the Waffles

Millbrae Pancake House: The wait is 30-60 minutes.

One of the persons in our household had a hankering for waffles, and the rest of us didn't require much of a push to go along with the request. We hadn't been to the Millbrae Pancake House since February of last year.

The MPH had reopened after its closure in November. We briefly discussed whether to dine at the restaurant with its COVID-limited seating, but with variants lurking and stalking us, safety came first.

At the restaurant the wait for a table was 45 minutes, and our decision to place a take-out order was looking better and better.

The kitchen seems excellent. The four plates of pancakes, omelets, potatoes, and sausages were as good as we remembered.

Millbrae Pancake House does need to work on order fulfillment, however. The waffles were missing.
